Our Story
Founded in February 2013, Fotkaplus Photography has grown from a small portrait studio into Edinburgh's most trusted name in professional photography. We operate from our fully equipped studio at 13 South Charlotte Street — steps from Princes Street and a ten-minute walk from Waverley Station.
Our team of award-winning photographers, stylists, makeup artists, and retouchers works together under one roof so that every aspect of your portrait experience is seamlessly managed. From the moment you walk through our door to the moment your gallery lands in your inbox, you are in expert hands.
Over more than a decade, we have served over 5,000 clients across Edinburgh and the wider Lothians — individuals, families, businesses, and everyone in between. Every session follows a carefully crafted process designed to put you at ease and deliver portraits you will genuinely love.
Our welcoming studio is yours to explore. Have a coffee, take in the backdrop wall, and begin the day at your own pace — there is never any rush.
Before a single frame is shot, our in-house stylist creates your look. Tell us what you want — natural and relaxed or bold and striking — and we bring it to life.
Pavel guides you through every pose and expression. No experience necessary — just trust the process. Our clients consistently say this is the most fun they have had in front of a camera.
At least one week after your session, you'll be invited to a private viewing appointment at the studio. You'll see your pre-retouched final images on screen, choose your favourites, and order — with no pressure whatsoever. Retouched finals are then delivered within 1–2 working days via your personal Pixieset gallery.
